This paper sought to determine Cavite Studies Center’s communication of construction/reconstruction of Emilio Aguinaldo as a Philippine National Hero. The study interviewed four historians who served CSC either as directors or researchers. Official communication materials and activities of the organization were also analyzed. Results revealed that CSC made collective efforts to publicize information on Aguinaldo that was meant to address misconceptions and historical biases. From a socio-cultural perspective, this study shed light on the need to consider how reputable organizations have the power to culturally influence historical perspectives of importance, such as discourse surrounding nationhood and heroism.
