FACULTY WELL-BEING OF DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY-DASMARIÑAS DURING THE PANDEMIC

Abstract

This study was conducted to check the well-being of the faculty members of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas amidst the pandemic. The respondents of the study is the set of all faculty members for the first semester of school year 2020-2021 and second semester of school year 2019-2020. To determine their well-being when the online classes started until the implementation of the new DLSU-D framework, two identical surveys were conducted. The first was held sometime in August which is the end of second semester SY 2019-2020, then another in the midterm period of the first semester SY 2020-2021. The administration would like to know if there are significant changes in the well-being of the faculty members. A total of 382 faculty members participated in the study. Results revealed that all areas of concern are generally very good with mean responses of at least 3.50 except for the area of personal concerns. This area was evaluated as good only by the faculty members. The t-tests revealed that the well-being of faculty members have significant changes in terms of Institutional Support and Instruction/Teaching Training. The rest of the areas of concerns have no significant changes with p-values greater than 0.05.
