Using the concept of semiology by Roland Barthes, this paper aims to analyze the narrative and discourse in the selected films about the Overseas Filipino Workers that were produced and distributed by Star Cinema, Viva Films, and GMA Picture Films from 2016 to 2019. Based on the study, there were similarities in the narratives of the films representing the stories of the Overseas Filipino Workers. On the other hand, the researcher also depicts the myths that are dominant in the selected films.
