This study sought to determine the health promotion behaviors and lifestyle profile of an academic community. A descriptive, correlational research was utilized with a quantitative technical data analysis. Chosen through purposive sampling, the 302 participants were members of the academic community with permanent status and specific institutional functions either as full-time faculty member, non-teaching office personnel, and administrator in the three levels: basic education, senior high school, and college, as well as buildings and grounds personnel, security and engineering group. Findings showed that the majority of the participants were aware of their health-related data. The level of health promotion behavior and lifestyle (HPBL) of the participants revealed the top two high-level subscales, namely: spiritual growth (3.09) and interpersonal relationship (2.91); medium-level subscales went to stress management (2.68); nutrition (2.46); health responsibility (2.38); with a lower-level subscale score for physical activity (2.24). There was a significant difference between the profile and the level of health promotion behaviors and lifestyles. The total HPBL score was significant in the subscales of educational attainment (0.001) and institutional function (0.018). It is recommended that institutional administrators create specific policies, programs, and tangible activities for the entire academic community focused on creative presentations and platforms for health promotion to encourage behaviors and lifestyles emphasizing a balanced work-life to include physical activity on a regular schedule.
