Artificial Intelligence and Ethical Reflections from the Catholic Church

Abstract

The article explores some views from the Catholic Church regarding artificial intelligence (AI). It covers the following: 1) a description of the development of AI and the ethical issues raised by it; 2) an overview of the ethical considerations of the Catholic Church through a survey of three events and two documents in relation to AI; 3) an interpretative commentary; and 4) an attempt to offer a Christological-ethical reflection on AI.
